September: A Few of My Favourite Things

September. ‘Tis the season of pumpkin spice lattes, cozy sweaters, and scary movie marathons. While I love summer for those warm sunny days and my birthday (obviously), I really enjoy fall. Obviously, fall officially begins on September 21st, but as we all know, the first of September is a good sign of the cool air that is to come.

So, today, I’m going to share everything I love about fall and what I’m looking forward to this year.

Wear more toques

Need I say more? I love being able to roll out of bed with unwashed hair and look fully put together with a gorgeous toque. It’s simple, it’s stylish, and no one questions why you’re wearing a toque.

Watch scary movies

It’s a spooky season, so why wouldn’t you want to watch a few scary movies? I’m more of a slasher/thriller fanatic, so I’ll likely rewatch my favourite series, Scream, Halloween, and The Nightmare on Elm Street.

I already jumped the gun and started watching Scream with my best friend, and what a great way to start off the spooky season.

Cozy evenings at home

On chillier days in the city, I prefer to stay at home with my boyfriend and puppy while watching a movie. Or relaxing in my living room with a blanket, hot tea, and a good book. There’s nothing that could beat this on colder days.

If you have any tips on how I can make this even cozier, let me know!

Baking and cooking fall treats

I’m not the best baker, but this year (since I have so much time on my hands) I want to bake more pies and delicious treats that are fitting for the season.

I’ve started a Pinterest board, so hopefully I can get through some of these recipes. I’ll be sure to share these in the next coming weeks.

Try a fall activity

Almost every year, my friends and I make plans to visit the corn maze or anything fall-related that’s happening in the city. 9 out of 10 times we can never make it out because our schedules are always so busy, but I’m willing to bet this year is going to be different (fingers crossed).

There are so many things to look forward to in the city. I can only hope that I’m able to complete some of these things this year. What are things you’re looking forward to this fall season? Whether it’s PSL, sweaters galore, or snuggling up by a fire, we would love to know!
